Campaign Information In 2009, Emmy Award nominated US drama Supernatural found a new home in the UK – LIVING. To raise awareness for the premiere of series five, Candyspace created one of the UK’s most advanced alternate reality (AR) games ever, and offered viewers the ultimate Supernatural prize – a chance to appear in the show. Fight the Apocalypse called on Supernatural fans to mobilise their friends to join their armies and help in the fight against Lucifer. The AR game was based around collecting hidden symbols – ‘Enochian Sigils’ (which players had to locate, photograph and send via MMS to the campaign shortcode). One of the first truly cross-platform campaigns of its type, the game utilised online, mobile, photo recognition, print and real world elements.
The game ended with a Grande Finale in London. A hunt to find the UK's only 1967 Chevrolet Impala which was carrying the final Sigil. We hid the car on The Mall and released riddle clues over Twitter. Fans travelled from across the UK just to take part.
