Mclaren.com
Since 1963, McLaren Racing has become one of the most successful and ground-breaking teams in Grand Prix motor racing, creating some of the most iconic, and technologically innovative F1 cars in the sport's history. Over the last 5 years McLaren’s business has grown. Now including McLaren Automotive – an automotive business with the ambition to produce the greatest supercars in the world; McLaren Applied Technologies developing ground-breaking solutions across sport, medicine, biomechanics and entertainment by applying McLaren 'know-how'; and McLaren Electronics. The overarching McLaren group has never had a destination that combines all of their businesses together in one place as this had previously been served by a switcher page. The objective for McLaren.com was to combine all the separate McLaren business under one roof, get fans, customers, stakeholders, investors and potential employees to the destination they wanted to visit efficiently whilst providing up to date news and content from across the group to audiences The website was launched with the visit of Prime Minister David Cameron’s visit to the McLaren Technology Centre and the opening of the McLaren Production Centre for McLaren Automotive. McLaren want to deliver the best and most innovative experience as possible at every digital touch point. The website uses the latest HTML 5 technology to deliver a seamless and innovative experience what ever operating system or resolution you look at the device on. With an innovative mobile experience users can receive an optimized offering bespoke to the device they are consuming the site on. In an ever-changing online and social environment McLaren want to always stay at the front of the grid, providing the most innovative experience for its fans and customers. -
The Human API
Ballantine’s believe that life fulfilment doesn’t come from money, success or material goods. We believe it’s about how truly you express yourself everyday. The impression you leave on everything you do, anyone you meet. So we are celebrating uniqueness. You can call them artists, creative minds, innovators. People who are genuinely authentic. Those who others can’t ignore. Because they leave an impression. This celebration is exhibited in a series of online interactive showcases that livestream artists creating work over a four-hour period. To find our protagonists we took to the streets of Europe, real people not actors. The artists were wearing a headcam, so viewers see what they see, hear what they hear – as well as being able to chat, ask the artist questions and play a part in creating the work they watched take shape. We call it the Human API. Why we’re doing this? Because we believe that great things happen when we release the power of our own uniqueness. We invited consumers and fans to join us in powering the Human API. We hosted the livestreams over at http://www.facebook.com/ballantines and all were welcome.
